As a violin maker, I have over 20 years of experience in the bowed instruments business. In our (brick & mortar) shop in Groningen, the Netherlands I make, repair, restore and sell instruments of the violin family. My customers vary from 4 year-old beginners to international soloists. Some eight years ago we started to sell strings and accessories on-line in our internet store www.bbviolins.nl, being the first one in the Netherlands.
A few years ago however I started a still growing collection of carbon and composite bows.
Carbon bows -within brand and type- do not differ that much in quality and playing capacities, so I started to sell them in our internet store as well. Results were overwhelming so we had to reorder with our manufacturers many times. Up till now we served mainly customers in the Dutch speaking territories (the Netherlands and Flanders, Belgium) because our internet site is in Dutch.
With this site in English we want to come in contact with international customers.
